Shipping & Heritage
We believe the journey matters as much as the destination. We avoid the rush of mass production to ensure careful inspection, directly supporting the livelihood of our Chiang Mai artisan collective.
Every object we sell begins its life in our workshop in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand. It is carved here and oiled here. Before it leaves, it is inspected by our workshop team to ensure it meets our standards.
Because we are a small artisan collective, your order travels a long way to reach you. We embrace the relaxed, slow‑life rhythm of Chiang Mai and believe that in a world of "next-day delivery," there is still value in waiting for something that was made slowly and intentionally.
We ship globally using trusted international carriers.
> "Distance is the only honest proof of origin."
We know that ordering wood from halfway across the world requires trust. We honor that trust with careful preparation.
We use sturdy shipping boxes and generous layers of bubble wrap to cushion your piece against the movements of international travel. We take great care to secure every item so it leaves our hands in perfect condition.
For most countries (including the US), single items for personal use rarely incur import duties. However, please be aware that any local import taxes or customs duties are the responsibility of the recipient.
We take every precaution to pack your item securely for its journey. However, please note that Siam Wood Artisans cannot be held responsible for loss or damage once the package has been handed over to the courier.
The responsibility for the safety of the item transfers to the carrier and the recipient upon dispatch. We recommend monitoring your tracking number closely to ensure safe receipt at your address.
